24-hour SAFVIC
SAFVIC
consists of a comprehensive curriculum developed with the assistance
of a curriculum committee composed of experts from law enforcement,
prosecution and victim services - see below for a list of
curriculum development committee members. The curriculum
covers crucial aspects for law enforcement's response to these
crimes, as well as the creation and use of community-based resources
to assist law enforcement's efforts. This curriculum
is broken down into segments that are meant to provide a consistent
transition through the material. The curriculum was developed
around a three-day or 24 credit hour frame. It is also available
in stand alone 1-day/8 credit hour modules. The program will use
a network of certified trainers to deliver the training on a local
basis, thus enabling more officers the access to this very important
