BECOME A SAFVIC INSTRUCTOR

The SAFVIC Program is comprised of 4 courses: a 24-hour SAFVIC for Law Enforcement, an 8-hour SAFVIC – Human Trafficking, an 8-hour SAFVIC for Telecommunication Professionals training, and an 8-hr training on the investigation & prosecution of strangulation. Having the right group of instructors is absolutely crucial. A SAFVIC Instructor must have an in-depth knowledge of the program, the available resources, and demonstrate their sincere dedication to improving law enforcement’s response to family violence and sexual assault. All applicants must be commissioned by a TCOLE agency in the state of Texas.

There is no registration fee for those accepted into the instructor course; however, due to funding cuts, the SAFVIC Program will no longer cover travel expenses to include lodging, mileage, and meals. Scholarships are available to help cover expenses for those that qualify. Please contact Jennifer for additional information about scholarships.
